What I offer
Simultaneous interpreting
Simultaneous interpreting means translating a speech into another language almost at the same time as it is spoken. This type of interpreting requires special technical equipment, including a soundproof booth, microphones, headphones, and audio technology. Due to the high level of mental strain, simultaneous interpreters always work in teams that take turns regularly.
multaneous interpreting is particularly suitable for larger, multilingual events where no time should be lost through interpreting, for example:
Consecutive interpreting
In consecutive interpreting, the interpreter first listens to a section of the speech and takes structured notes. They then convey the content accurately in the desired language. A single section of speech should not exceed approx. 15 minutes.
Since the speaker and interpreter take turns regularly, the total duration of the event is longer – this type of interpreting is therefore more suitable for situations where time is not critical. Typical areas of application are:

Remote interpreting
Interpreting from a distance – i.e., without the interpreter being physically present at the event location. Interpretation is provided via digital platforms such as video conferencing systems (Zoom, MS Teams, Webex) or special remote interpreting platforms. The interpreters work from a remote hub or from their home office.

Challenges:
Translation
Unlike interpreting (oral), translation involves translating texts in writing. Translation is like a bridge between two languages: you take the content of a text and rewrite it so that it has the same meaning in another language – and sounds good.
